Rev tabke on multiple sheets

Rev tabke on multiple sheets

Rev tabke on multiple sheets

I'm looking for the best way to add a rev table to additional sheets of a drawing, that matches the rev table on the first sheet. I tried copying, no luck...What we are doing now is adding the rev table to the 2nd, 3rd, etc... sheets then manually populating them. Any suggestions?

Yeah..Yeah..I know, why not just limit it to the first sheet. Not enough time in the day to explain that.

Sorry for the type-O!

RE: Rev tabke on multiple sheets

When you're copying are you copying in 'Edit Sheet' - and using $PRPSHEET :"  -- to define fields from the File|Properites|Custom menu?

No, I attempted to just pick the table, EDIT/COPY, goto 2nd sheet and "EDIT/PASTE". I get an error "The item on the clipboard cannot be pasted here"

Are you suggesting I do this through custom properties?

RE: Rev tabke on multiple sheets

Rev tables can't go on multisheets, only on the first sheet. It is per standards anyway. Do a search here, this topic has been discussed a lot.

RE: Rev tabke on multiple sheets

A question for clarification:

Are you talking about the rev table that SolidWorks has to track Rev descriptions (usually in upper right corner), or are you referring to the table that lists the rev status of each sheet?

The former can be placed on each sheet in some revision schemes that has each sheet carry it's own revision and rev history. I believe it is within standard, but SolidWorks probably has not allowed it.

The latter should only be on sheet one because it is analogous to an index or table of contents.

RE: Rev tabke on multiple sheets

mmakm,
What are you putting in this Rev table?

Bradley
