finding parts in desk

(OP)
hi,

I relocated many of my parts that are used in a CATProduct and they can't be located when the product is opened.  Is there a way to specify a root directory to re-link the parts rather than manually finding them?

thank you,

RE: finding parts in desk

Alkemixt - In tools-->options  General-->Document, you can change the document location to Relative folder first, Folder of the pointed document, Folder of the link
This will allow you to take a job and move it to a different drive or folder.  When Catia loads the main product it will look in the current directory of the main product and recursively under it for the associated parts.  If it cannot find the information there it will then look in the original area...  There is an excellent image of how this works in the online docs.

Regards,
Derek
