Working in LA for reconstruction

(OP)
Is anyone working in LA for related FEMA disaster relief and cleanup in Engineering?  I'm thinking of applying for a job where you would be stationed in LA. The position is with a larger engineering firm hiring temp workes with daily reimbursement for lodging.  I'm interested in an engineer's experience helping out down there.

RE: Working in LA for reconstruction

I live in the New Orleans area. I am not working for any of the hurricane-related jobs, although I did talk to a couple of "headhunters" who contacted me about it.

I guess I can't tell you much, but if I can answer anything else, let me know.
