Macro for assembly

Macro for assembly

Macro for assembly

(OP)
Hi, everyone

I use NX3 and I would like too create one macro for assembly, this macro to create my
Subassemblies and some parts, with established names and numbers

Small example :

Partname_plasticpart_00000.111.22 _date

and this macro to generate assm. and parts witch depend on that name

Partname_metalpart_00000.155.22 _date

Thank you for all

RE: Macro for assembly

It wouldn't be that hard to create this macro you want, but I'm thinking you will have to pause the macro for user entry and then type the name you want the component to be.

If it were a standard ass'y you use every time and only the "partname" as you have described above (Partname_plasticpart_00000.111.22 _date) is to change you could make your standard ass'y with a dummy partname (xxxx_plasticpart_0000.11.22) and then just clone that with naming rules to replace the xxxx with your part name.

But as far as getting the date on the end of the file name automatically, you could also change this when doing a clone.

If you are a moldwizard user this can be done easy.If you are let me know and I'll let you know how to do some of that stuff!

Hope this helps....
