When I use the "fit to" option for printing a spreadsheet with hidden columns, excel does not seem to take into account that the cells are hidden.  Does anyone know how to make it scale based on only the visible cells when I print it?

RE: scaling with "fit to" with hidden columns

I am pretty sure I have used fit-to-print with hidden columns and had no problems.  Are you sure they are hidden and not just really skinny? (maybe try expanding and then rehiding them).

Also maybe try File/print area / set print area after the columns are hidden.

Thanks Electricpete for your feedback.

In trying to reproduce it in a totally blank worksheet, I realized it does not have anything to do with hidden columns, but rather that I have several "columns to repeat at left".  It leaves an identical amount of room on the right side of the page as the left.
