(OP)
OK, I took a week of CATIA V training a while back (maybe six years).  And I know I have a workbook somewhere, but ....  I need to generate dimensioned drawings of assemblies built up from v4.2 models.  I need both exterior and cross section views.  Can someone give me enough detailed steps so I can do this task (ocassionally, once every 18 months).  I will also have to convert some of the exterior surfaces to IGES.  I spent a couple of days stumbling around menus / options trying to remember how to dimension an assembly, but, all I've ended up with is some views that are from a large distance from the assembly (the assembly is very small).  When I zoom fit the assembly drawing view, it only has partial lines of the exterior edges of the assembly.  I haven't added any dimensions yet to these views
