Is it possible to fill an area with solid colour when creating symbols in Pro/E 2001.

I've looked through all the menus and can't find anything.

RE: Pro/E 2001 Symbol Fill or Hatch

Fawkes,

I just created a quick symbol in ProE 2001.  I made a circle and then pick it, then pick edit fill from the menus.  I then picked format line styles, then picked everything with the circle, changed the color that way.

A problem I have is that the boundary is set from a number of different lines and arcs.

Pro/e isn't very good for creating sketches and I've found that there are gaps and overlaps between curves.

I used the original curves to create construction geometry and then created a chain from that, the fill worked fine, thanks.

Fawkes,

Select all entities, then from the EDIT menu choose FILL -> SOLID and give a name to your fill. That's all.

Hora,

My main problem was that the curves didn't provide a complete boundary, without this the edit-fill menu option wasn't available.

Pro/E's sketching tools are the best I've seen and it's a bit of a backwards step to try and use them but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Fawkes,

You cannot fill an open boundary. Trim and close to get a closed boundary.
