Assy Drawing Closing SW on Lightweight Resolve

Assy Drawing Closing SW on Lightweight Resolve

Assy Drawing Closing SW on Lightweight Resolve

(OP)
Good Morning.

We have been having a problem with resolving lightweight components automatically or by prompt when creating any assembly drawings.  The problem is shutting down SW when this happens.

We have found that if we resolve the lightweight components prior to creating a drawing from an assembly the problem goes away.  We prefer to have lightweight loaded automatically in assemblies since some are fairly large.

Has anyone experienced this and if so were you able to resolve it?

RE: Assy Drawing Closing SW on Lightweight Resolve

Your problem may be insufficient ram.  1 megabyte is pretty low by today's standards.

Sorry, couldn't resist.  Does SW shut down immediately or hang when you try to create drawings from assemblies with lightweight components?

Since we are able to resolve the lightweights in the assembly prior to creating the drawing and then have no problems creating the drawing we felt that was not the issue.

BTW, I have emailed a log file to SW.
