Why no PERSPECTIVE Views allowed in Drafting?
(OP)
Other less powerful CAD systems allow this. Why can't you insert a perspective view into your drawing sheet?
Thanks!

RE: Why no PERSPECTIVE Views allowed in Drafting?
From the Modeling application, orient your part/model to the desired view and apply any other settings necessary. Once you have the part/model the way you want it to look, save the view (View -> Operation -> Save As) and give the view a unique name that is NOT a canned view name that's already being used.
Now go over to Drafting and create an imported view using the named view you created in Modeling.
If that's not what you want, then you're going to have to give an example.

RE: Why no PERSPECTIVE Views allowed in Drafting?
It gives an error that says you cannot do perspectives. Maybe it's the NX2? Does NX3 allow it?
Thanks
RE: Why no PERSPECTIVE Views allowed in Drafting?
NX doesn't allow for perspective views in Drafting...not sure why anyone would want one either because the dimensioning would be all out of whack. What in the world are you wanting a perspective view in Drafting for?

RE: Why no PERSPECTIVE Views allowed in Drafting?
Perspetive views are very useful in the architectural drawing.
It just seems wierd that you cannot have it.
