Hello
What basiccaly the process and chemical used in breaking boulders? and what spec are these? where can i get the references

RE: Chemical used for Rock Breaking

The chemical is actually expansive cement. Normally disastrous for concrete but good for splitting rocks.

One of them is called Bristar.

basically we need to remove some boulders under the old building to construct new underground hall, it required us to do the quiet and safe breaking work due to the location of the area at the middle of the Kuala Lumpur City. Where can i refer the Bristar you said, just before this, one of my friend propose to refer to Daigh Chemical Rock Spitting which look like quite interesting.

RE: Chemical used for Rock Breaking

I used Bristar in South Africa, but there are quite a few companies showing up using Google and "expansive cement Rock Breaking".

One of them was in India, and there are Japanese companies as well

http://www.crackamite.com is the Indian company.

One in Japan is http://www.taiheiyo-m.co.jp They have offices in Thailand and elsewhere

RE: Chemical used for Rock Breaking

I've used all 3 products and found a new one Bustar to be more economical.  It works faster and is more readily available.
