ACFB Aux Power

ACFB Aux Power

ACFB Aux Power

(OP)
Can any of the Atmospheric Circulating Fluid Bed voiler users tell me what their aux power power usage is? Please tell me your net load and aux load, so I know we are dealing with apples to apples.

I just want to verify some numbers I got from a study I paid for.  The aux power they stated was nearly twice as high as I was expecting.  Although, I have zero CFB expierence.  Just read some stuff.

RE: ACFB Aux Power

In addition to aux power, don't forget that most reported values for the thermal radiation heat loss ( thru casing , hoppers, uncooled refractory cyclones, etc) is much lower than the actual heat loss thru these surfaces.

The radiation heat loss curve presented in ASME PTC 4.1 doesn't even begin to cover the case of a cfb boiler. To get a true value for this heat loss, you will need to conduct a srvey of these surface during operation at operating temperatures.
