Hide Planes

Hide Planes

(OP)
I have created an assembly, now I want to hide all the refernece planes before I convert it into CATpart. Is there an easy way, I know our instructor went thru this step in V4. But since I was new to both avenues thats why I am little disorientated.

RE: Hide Planes

Where am i pasting this script and how is it activated. Sorry to ask I am a total virgin to CATIA

RE: Hide Planes

From the "Tools" pulldown menu, select "macro" > "macros".  When the macro window pops up, select "Create", give it a name and then press "ok".  The new Macro will now be listed.  Select it and then choose "edit".  Paste the Macro text, save and close the editor window.
Then just select it again from the list and press "Run".

You can also create a toolbar and icon for the macro.

you can use the internal search functions of Catia to do this.
Scripts don't always work from version to version, if you are new to Catia, start by learning some of the current methods in the software.  In the thread I touch on setting this as a favourite for searching.

Derek
