Standard parts
Standard parts
(OP)
My company would like to have standard part library and we use a plm interface. Which will be a better way to get the standard library from your point of view.We have have a unique numbering system which will be applicable for standard pars also.
If my comp. purchases the standard libraries of UGS what problem may i face. How does UGS standard libraries work?
Has any body devolopped a standards library? How it is done?

RE: Standard parts
It was developed by UGS for IR under contract. Contact UGS for information on their Standard Parts GRIP program written by Gary Hatt.

RE: Standard parts
But how will it work with PLM interface, Does the grip program generate a new file for the defined standard part?
Does the user needs any special licences?
RE: Standard parts
The user would only need a GRIP execute license, unless you wanted to change the way the program worked, in which case you wouls alos need a GRIP development license.
