Radiall EPX E Connectors (Later Model MD-11s)

Anybody have a catalog that shows the inserts for these connectors?

The Douglas Wiring Standard Practices Manual doesn’t have a graphic that shows how the pins inserts are laid out.

Believe it or not Radiall customer support only had a catalog for EPX-A and B series.

I'm comparing wire lists with connector layouts to find spare pins to add new wiring.

I think the -E series are environmental, but hate to assume they are similar to A & B series.

Assume = reaction support in the hangar.

Thanks

Hi,
we've an old catalog that shows the inserts for the EPX connectors. -E is, as you already said, environmental. If you still need a copy tell me where to send it to.

phlamp,

The original issue is resolved, but I would like a copy of the catalog. We have about six aircraft with these connectors on the MAR rack.

How do list members discretely exchange contact info? I see public posting is discouraged.

Phil,

Is it possible to still get a copy of the Radiall catalog for the EPXE connectors?  Thank you for any assistance you may be able to render.

RE: Radiall EPX E Connectors (Later Model MD-11s)

I am currently designing in the EPX series on a new project.  According to the 1998 catalog I have, the inserts for the EPX family were not originally keyed for the double insert.  i.e. one insert fit anywhere. In the current catalog you have to use an A insert and a B insert in the double shell.  The keyway in the original EPX's was only used to prevent inserting the insert 180 out.

I don't know if the current "A" insert will fit into both sides in the older housings.  Based upon what I see in the newer and older catalogs I would "assume" it does.

And yes, the E indicates environmental seals.
