Looking for a product. Strange surface mount pins.

Looking for a product. Strange surface mount pins.

(OP)
Hello,

I'm looking to buy some pins that can be soldered onto PCB boards (non-through hole) and allow the PCB to be inserted into a standard DIP socket. The pins dimensions are such that they fit directly into DIP sockets when soldered into pin-arrays.

I have a picture of exactly what I'm looking for. Please refer to:

The chip in the above picture has 24 of these pins (exactly what I'm looking for) around the perimeter of the chip. Do you offer a part similar to this? Would you be able to supply me a part number or distributor that would be able to fulfill my needs?

Thanks a bunch,
Paul

Contact mill-max they specialize in all kinds of pins.  They "are the pin people".

The product in question is known as 'lead frame' or maybe 'leadframe' depending on the manufacturer. When I worked in hybrids we used kilometers of it each week. The manufacturer we dealt with most often was Proner Comatel, now apparently known as http://www.kontek-comatel.com/

Hope this helps.
