Screws different when open in different seats?

Screws different when open in different seats?

Screws different when open in different seats?

(OP)
We just started inserting screws in our ass'y. We have noticed when screws are inserted from the toolbox and we save the drawing out and another seat opens the ass'y, the screws seem to revert back to the default screw. We are running the ass'y through the network but not our toolbox. Do we need to put the toolbox on the network?

RE: Screws different when open in different seats?

You need to go to http://mysite.verizon.net/mjlombard/ and under "rules of thumb" you need to check out the toolbox document.  This should explain it for you.

Thanks for the info and the quick response.

RE: Screws different when open in different seats?

This is why I always rename and save hardware in the directory with all my assembly/part/drawing files.  Not that my practice would be a good thing for most people. ..

I agree with Jeff. It is what I do also.

RE: Screws different when open in different seats?

I only do that if I have to send a complete model to a client. In which case I use SW Explorer to make a copy of the top level assy c/w all children. But after it has been sent, I delete the copy so that only my original remains.
