Feature name linked to an attribute !! ??

Feature name linked to an attribute !! ??

Feature name linked to an attribute !! ??

(OP)
How can I link a feature name to an attribute?
I would like the feature name appearing in the part navigator to change as atribute changes, Is it possible to link the feature name to an attibute?
If yes. How can it be done?

RE: Feature name linked to an attribute !! ??

I am not exactly sure what you mean, can you be alittle more descriptive?

The only thing I can think of is expressions.  You can set a pre-defined expression (Tools --> Expression or Control-E).  Then assign the expression to the feature you want.

Maybe I do not understand what you are asking.

I always have a habit to specify name to the sketches, that defines - what is drawn inside that sketch.
For example, If sketch is used for revolving a 'Flange' then sketch is named as 'Flange'
Now my requirement is to link this name to an attribute, which i will be changing from spread sheet. Value of the attribute must change the name of feature (sketch).
I do not know how to link the name of a feature to an attribute.
I hope it is more descriptive !!
