Good source for latex triaxial membranes?

Good source for latex triaxial membranes?

Good source for latex triaxial membranes?

(OP)
I am looking to find a good source for tx membranes. The current supplier I use has poor quality membranes, IMO. I recently purchased 3 dozen 3.5" dia X .025" thick membranes, and the diameters were varied, and the thicknesses were not consistent either.

Any help would be appreciated.

FWIW, I usually buy from Geotest www.geotestusa.com.

RE: Good source for latex triaxial membranes?

My college geotech teacher said he used condoms obtained from the student health annex for triaxial membranes.

I also used condoms for triaxial testing in graduate school.  However, I have yet to find a commercial lab that does.  Wonder why? (grin)

Condoms would not be large enough nor thick enough for my purposes. We test granular materials(up to 4" diameter specimens)at fairly high stresses(350 psi).

I'm sure all of use have them for triaxial testing at one time or another, but for the size that labrat is looking for, I too would use geotest.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Trojans work best, and for testing purposes also.

RE: Good source for latex triaxial membranes?

I am looking for 4" wire mesh membranes for a simple shear similar to a triaxial.  By any chance do you know any companies I could contact that may sell this product.
