Pre-shutdown unit decontamination

Pre-shutdown unit decontamination

(OP)
Does anyone have experience with liquid or vapour phase chemical cleaning agents?  We will be doing extensive maintenance during our next shutdown and would like to ensure that our unit is free of HC, H2S etc.  The units to be cleaned are the crude, vacuum and Sour water stripper units.

RE: Pre-shutdown unit decontamination

There are some companies specialized in such applications.
From experience, we did use a special contractor to do chemical cleaning of a system similar to system and the result was a mazy (time take is 2 days compared to 7 days we used to to take for cleaning)

You can look to the market where such contractors are available and can perform your work in short time and good results.

Hope this would help you

Cheers

Depending where you are in the world. Try looking up eurocorpex or zymeflow.
