Surface finish on metal vs plastic

Surface finish on metal vs plastic

Surface finish on metal vs plastic

(OP)
Would it safe to say that surface finish of 16 microinches on plastic have the same characteristic as 16 microinches on metal?

I'm making a custom machined Delrin bearing that would slide to aluminum. As Machined surface is pretty rough on both bearing surfaces. What would be the normal plastic surface finish for bearing application ( assume using hard steel).

Thanks
