Please tell me what is sub-isentropic flow

RE: compressible flow

I never heard of it and don't think there is such a thing.

RE: compressible flow

Isentropic flow is Subsonic.  Maybe it was a reference to the same type of flow.

RE: compressible flow

Darken99 (Mechanical)I think you mean isentropic flow can be subsoic, sonic or supersonic.
Regards

RE: compressible flow

Yeah should have read over what I typed.  I was trying to say that it could be a reference to an isentropic flow that is subsonic.

RE: compressible flow

Shirajpn,

Isentropic flow in general terms means a flow with no lossess (no friction, no heat transfer losses, etc).  It is a flow with no entropy change.

The assumption of isentropic flow greatly simplifies the mathematical model used to describe the flows be it subsonic, transonic or supersonic.

RE: compressible flow

Notice that the OP hasn't logged on in a month.  I have to wonder how much he cares any more.
