I wish to use SE16 in 2D mode to make up electrical schematics and other 2D documents.  Simple taske like copy baffle me completely.  Solid modelling is no problem.

Is there a guide available? Not having much luck with help in this area.

RE: 2D drafting

Hi,

Try using the 'select tool' but press Ctrl while you drag the object to move it (it will make a copy instead).

Otherwise, the 'move' command with the copy button pressed at the top left will do the job (one click for the starting point, one click for the end point)

RE: 2D drafting

Before going too far with this and V17, if upgrading to V18 is a possibility, it supports an Acad like block functionality, and you can even import ACAD block libraries.  There are also a set of connectors that work similar to the ones in Visio.
