Serial port specs for CNC press punchs

Serial port specs for CNC press punchs

Serial port specs for CNC press punchs

(OP)
Hi all,
I'm currently writing software to send part programs from a PC to a Strippit CNC press punch (it has the HECC80/1 control) The company I work for won’t buy the software. If I can get enough information/setting about/for other press punchs I'm hoping to inculde them in it.

I have sorted out the serial port settings for that particular machine controller, but I'm hoping to make the software compatible to other CNC press punches, if possible.

I need to know baud rate, how many stop chars. Etc and if the controller supports handshaking, or if it looks for a specific chars. to mark the start and end of the part program, also if the controller has any little quirks ( the HECC80/1 uses the first line of the part program to get the parity information and drops it)

Does anyone use any (other strippits, amadas, finn power etc) and know the specs?
