Drewplex Marine Boiler Treatment

(OP)
Hi Guys,

does somebody have an experience with Drew`s combined program for marine boiler treatment with the new Drewplex OX and AT.If yes did somebody observe how they interfere with each other because we experineced permanent problems when trying to keep one of the parameters of the water. If the Ox level is ok the alkalinity is out of limits and oposite.

Yes of course Ashland Chemicals supervise and advise us permanently (monthly) by sending them our logs as a result of the treatment they suggested. But yet they keep always something  more or change the permissible limits from time to time

RE: Drewplex Marine Boiler Treatment

Unfortunately,as a relatively small steam generator, you are being sold a product that is formulated to be the "one size that fits all".This is a common marketing effort to satisfy a large group of users where each user over uses some products in the blend to gain an effective concentration of the lesser one being tested as the control.
Another thing to remember, that all vendors are in the business to sell chemicals, even though they call themselves "consultants".I happended to work for this company over thirty years ago and almost got fired for evaluating products from all venders, in a potential customer's laboratory, and reporting to the customer that Drew's product came in second!... regards,,

countrynam,

We are of same wavelength. They sold products in excess to what our boiler limits would have required. Moreover, we already use demineralized water to for out low pressure boiler (100 psig operating). Still problems were encountered.
