linking two attributes

(OP)
Hello all,

I tried to do a search and the closest thing I got was thread555-51785.

Anyways the questions is;

I have a titleblock with the drawing number in the bottom right corner and the top left corner.  I want to fill in the bottom right dwg number attribute and have the top automatically fill  in.  Is this possible?  I think it can be done with fields, but  I can't make it work.  I am using ACAD 2006.

Regards,
TULUM

RE: linking two attributes

Yeah I'd recommend fields for that application.

RE: linking two attributes

W/ acad 2004 the only way I can do this is to copy the attribute and insert each of them in their appropriate place in the titleblock. That attribute will be propmt twice and you will enter the same value for each prompt. No other short cut that I am aware of.

RE: linking two attributes

Yes! you can do it automatically both. just create the attribute value in any location and select all to make it block. to check, insert the said block to see the attribute promt.
