A5052w-H32
(OP)
Dear All,
I'm from Hungary.
Under my work I met the next material : A5052W-H32.
This is some Carbon steel, according to the JIS G 3539 japanese standard.
I need some similar material to subsitute, wich is procurable in EU. (according DIN or ISO standards)
I'll be very grateful if you can help me.
Thanks
Gagar

RE: A5052w-H32
A5052 is a very common aluminum alloy composition, which is essentially the same as Al 5052, UNS A95052, EN AW 5052 and ISO (DIN) AlMg2,5 [in the EN spec., 'AW' indicates Aluminum, Wrought]. See more alloy cross-listings at http://alu
H32 is the temper. In this case, the aluminum has been strain hardened (cold worked) and then given a stabilizing heat treatment (at 120-175oC), which gives a final hardness 1/4 between the annealed and maximum cold worked conditions.
'w' may indicate that the product form is wire. I don't have the Japanese standards, only their titles, but I note that the applicable specification is
JIS H 4040:1999 Aluminum and aluminum alloy, bars and wires.
whereas other JIS H 40xx & 41xx standards are for other forms. E.g.,
JIS H 4000:1999 Aluminum and aluminum alloy, strips and coiled sheets
JIS H 4100:1999 Aluminum and aluminum extruded shape
JIS H 4140:1988 Aluminum and aluminum alloy forged part
