Pull apart telescoping tube assembly
Pull apart telescoping tube assembly
(OP)
I'm looking for the value, but preferably the reference, to determine the force needed in the following scenerio.
Cross-posted from Human Factor/Ergonomics forum because I haven't got an answer there yet and I really want a MIL-Spec.
---------------------
I have an above average male (95%tile) holding a telescoping tube assembly in front of his chest. The assembly is parrallel to the floor. The male is holding the tube on the top, with palms facing down. His hands are spaced approximately shoulder width apart.
How much force can this male excert in trying to seperate the two tubes?
A MIL-Spec would be best, but any commercial/industrial standard will suffice.
Thanks,
