sheetmetal extrude profile

(OP)
I've searched for a solution to my problem but no luck so far:

I'm trying to extrude a circular arc section profile in Catia Generative Sheetmetal Design (V5R15 SP5 on Win XP SP1) and getting an error ("The selected sketch is not valid with this feature.  You may check the sketch elements types, their continuity in point and tangency.  Please modify the sketch or select another one.")

I get this error whether the sketch is a simple circular arc, or if its a pair of tangent circular arcs (in this 2nd case, the arcs are coincident and tangent)  Strange thing is, if I add a straight line segment to the sketch (and make it coincident and tangent w/one an arc section), the extrusion works fine. But, I don't want a straight line in my sketch - I just want to extrude the arcs. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks!

RE: sheetmetal extrude profile

I remember this way back...

I didn't like the straight line option, either.  I was able to correct it, at the time, by defining a trimmed circle, by constraining 2 lines at the given angle, throught the center point of the circle. (as construction elements)  Do not delete the construction elements.
