Corrosion of Electrostatic Precipitator

Corrosion of Electrostatic Precipitator

Corrosion of Electrostatic Precipitator

(OP)
Does anyone have experience with corrosion of the separation plates in an electrostatic precipitator downstream of a spray dry scrubber (for SOx removal)?

What is the role of chlorides in corrosion downstream of the scrubber?  The scrubber makeup water is the salty reject water from a reverse osmosis system.

RE: Corrosion of Electrostatic Precipitator

What is your material of construction?
There is a good reason that these are usually either high alloy stainless or Ti.
