I am trying to create a macro that will automatically dimension a U or L Bracket. Is there a callout that will pull an overall dimension?

thanks!

RE: API Drawing Help.

If the models feature sketches are dimensioned the way you want the drawing dimensioned, and if the Marked For Drawing option is used for only those dimensions, then you should be able to use the API call-up for inserting those marked dimensions.

cheers

Is there a way to do this without using the Marked for Drawing option?

RE: API Drawing Help.

There may be ... but one way or another, you will have to instruct SW which dimensions go where.

If you used a macro (with user input for sizes) to create the U or L bracket & then create the drawing, perhaps you could use the same input for the dimensions. ???

cheers
