air flow from multiple outlets
air flow from multiple outlets
(OP)
Hi
I have air coming in from a tank (one inlet) and going out from two outlets.
The inlet has flowmeter metering Sm3/hr with actual P,T also defined. I also have another flow meter metering at one of the outlets giving me actual flowrate (also P,T) but i dont have any meter on the second outlet neither know the P, T. How can I calculate the flowrate from the this second outlet. I am confused i did some calculations but i am nt confident.
Any suggestions/help will be appreciated.

I have calculated the all mass flow rates ........ now i want to calculate the volume flowrate of O2.
the P,T values are known at inlet and at one of the 2 outlets i.e O1.without P,T at O2 how to find volume flowrate at O2.
any idea or rough estimation?

RE: air flow from multiple outlets
Without T and P at O2, you cannot find the volumetric flow rate at O2.
Any idea? Measure T and P at O2, or if you know how much heat is transfered and what the pressure drop is for the air on the way to O2, estimate T and P.
Good luck,

(I) is the inlet, O1 is the first outlet and O2 is the second outlet. With massflowrates, O2 = I - O1.
P,T at inlet and at O1 is known, the two (I and O1) are at about 12 meters from each other where as O2 is at about 38m from (I).
