Where to get very soft compression
Where to get very soft compression
(OP)
I'm looking for a soft compression spring, but that is short in length, so far no luck.
k = 1.0 lb/in
free height <= .75"
inside diameter >= .25"
Looked at Barnes (SPEC) and McMaster so far for in stock springs. Any one know who might have something in this range that is off the shelf?

Misumi are world wide and certainly cover what you are looking for.
RE: Where to get very soft compression
I have found them to have as wide a selection as I have seen anywhere.

RE: Where to get very soft compression
They probably also have many non-stainless springs that would work.

RE: Where to get very soft compression
I pulled the wrong address from Google! Sorry bout that!
RE: Where to get very soft compression
Your post is missing important data such as:
What is the required force? or, what is the require deflection?
What is the required life cycle from first load point to second load point?
Environment conditions?
Spring rate alone is not enough, For example: will a spring with 0.050" deflection until the coils touch each other is OK?
