Help with pattern holes on Sheet Metal Cylinder
Help with pattern holes on Sheet Metal Cylinder
(OP)
I cannot Fold back a sheet metal cylinder after I create cuts or holes after an Unfold.
1) I create a sheet metal cylinder by blending 2 concentric, planar circles with aligned gaps in them in Sheet Metal.
2) I insert the unfold command.
3) I create cuts in the unfolded part.
4) The part will not fold. (It says it cannot refold for this type of feature.)
However it will fold back up without the cuts.
I appreciate any help.

RE: Help with pattern holes on Sheet Metal Cylinder
I meant to write Cone instead of cylinder. Please edit to Cone if possible. Thank you.

See FAQ559-1100 for details.
In your step 1, when you say "blending 2 concentric ...", do you mean you used the Lofted-Bend function? If so, I have no problem here using SW05.
Do your cuts remove the reference edge?
