(OP)
I've got a problem.  We have a construction project up in northern Ontario where there is a lot of granite rock.  I'm running Trimble R8 Rovers and Base Stations with SNB900 900 MHZ Radios.  The job is Approximately 10 KM long of windy highway, and I need full coverage.  I've got a 30' tower with my antenna mounted on top, which is situated in the middle of the job.  I'm also running Machine Controll on the Dozers.

Right now, I can only get full coverage by using repeaters.  I'd like to remove them and try some other type of radio.  My problem is that the granite rock seems to disrupt the signal.  I need something that is a lot more powerfull than the SNB900's.

Any sugestions?
