Hardiplank Sweating?

As noted in the above named thread:
Hardie – James Hardie Siding otherwise known as Hardiplank has moisture issues from the environment. Many of these problems come from within the home, or from around it. Algae will grow on just about anything if it has moisture, warmth, and food. Take away any one of these and you have not the problem.

RE: Hardiplank Sweating?
My experience is limited (1 house), but about the only inexpensive retrofits are to install/fix/upgrade bathroom ventilation fans and apply aluminum paint on interior walls. The aluminum paint reduces moisture permeation by about 90% (if I remember correctly). Paint over with latex if you don't want the metallic appearance.
Of course, outside moisture may also support mold growth, but again, you would be worse off with wood.
