Ozone Generator for Odorous Air (H2S) Treatment

Ozone Generator for Odorous Air (H2S) Treatment

(OP)
I am investigating "new" odor control technologies to treat H2S (Odor source is H2S in a wastewater pumping station). I've come across two technologies that claim to be effective at using Ozone to oxidize (and thereby remove) H2S. One technology uses an "ion fog" and the other uses UV light to create ozone. The ozone then reacts with H2S eliminateing the H2S odor.

I understand in theory how both of these technologies work but I don’t have a good grasp on the actual chemistry involved (the oxidation of H2S via Ozone). As of yet I have been unable to find any good, clear information on this either.  I have contacted some of the ozone generator manufacturers and am waiting for responses but I was wondering if anyone new of a good FREE source where I could get information on the exact chemistry involved here....

Also, does anyone have any experience with these types of a systems, the literature seems to be contradictory as to the reliability and effectiveness of these systems.

Thanks

Vapex makes an "ozone fogger" and only requires 110V power and a garden hose connection to generate ozone.  I beleive their facility is in Florida and they have a sales rep. in No. california.  They should be able to answer your questions.
ITT Flygt (in U.S.) sells an odor control system that draws air from a wetwell and passes it through a contact chamber, treating the foul air w/ozone.  The discharged air is odor free.

So what does H2S oxidize to, SO2 and H2O I presume? Doesn't SO2 cause a smell problem as well?
