Conveyor Belt Cleaner/Scraper

Conveyor Belt Cleaner/Scraper

Conveyor Belt Cleaner/Scraper

(OP)
Hi there,

I require a heavy duty scraper. The ore we process has large rocks and high tonnage that cause rocks to smash into out scrapers and bend them. Is there a brand of scrapers that are reknowned for their strength?

Has anyone had experience with a pre-primary scraper?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Mark

RE: Conveyor Belt Cleaner/Scraper

I don't understand how the ore is hitting the scraper.  Is it hitting the scraper blade, or the frame of the scraper?

The scraper blade should be located below the discharge trajectory of the material (i.e. not in the path of the material).

Some manufacturers that I have seen and specified include:
Martin  www.martin-eng.com/
Richwood  www.richwood.com
Hosch  http://www.hosch.de/en/  among other international sites

However, I don't think any of them could take a beating and survive.

Cheers,
CanuckMiner

RE: Conveyor Belt Cleaner/Scraper

Hello Obsy,

I'm in the iron-ore and coal transport.
We use Bell Banne scrapers.
The R.v -type we redesined to a pre-cleaner that is located at rhe bottomside of the drum and behind that one we place one or two U-type scrapers
We use steelcord belts, 1800 mm wide, a beltspeed of 4,5 m/sec and we do with iron-ore 5000 t/h and with coal 3500 t/h
Look for the scrapers at:

www.sgt-promati.com

As a test we are running a A-type scraper at the moment,
it runs for 5 monts now and stil working perfectly

Cheers

Polleke
