BOM Balloons tied to an Isometric View

BOM Balloons tied to an Isometric View

(OP)
Is there any way to create BOM Balloons on an Isometric View or Section View that I have created and have them automatically update.  When I select the view it says "Invalid view for showing BOM Balloons for the region".

I am new to Pro-E.

Thanks in advance for any info.

RE: BOM Balloons tied to an Isometric View

With a few caveats that will be applicable to all view types; you shouldn't have an problems.  Do you have a repeat region associated to the model or rep the views reference?  (Wonder if there's some config opt like "allow 3d dimensions", or whatever it is, that I've set and forgotten about?)

In the absence of better advise; create a super simple assy and work with it.  If you can't get it working you can email or post (possible here?) so someone can fix it and send it back with an explanation.

I think I figured out how to get it done.  By the way, I'm detailing an Injection Mold Assembly and I wanted to put Balloons on an Isometric View of the A Side and a separate Isometric View of the B Side to make it easier to show each inividual item.

I had each views set to a separate simplified reps, which was causing the problem.  I changed them both to the master rep and hid the components I didn't want shown via the component display functionality.  I have my repeat regions set to the master rep, also.

FYI: I am using Wildfire 2.0.

Thanks.  Mission Accomplished.
