Wrapping. Trouble creating the continuous surface.

Wrapping. Trouble creating the continuous surface.

Wrapping. Trouble creating the continuous surface.

(OP)
I'm attempting to wrap a sketch around an object but my surface needs to be continuous. I've attempted extruding a sketch with lines and curves, but this doesn't give me a that contiuous. I ended up fitting a spline and extruding it but it would seem to me there is an easier way. Is there a way to convert sketch entities(lines & curves) into a spline?

RE: Wrapping. Trouble creating the continuous surface.

Yes, use the Fit Spline function in the Splines toolbar.

RE: Wrapping. Trouble creating the continuous surface.

Ohh ... Is that what you meant by "I ended up fitting a spline"?

Also, do you mean you want the wrapped sketch to be continuous?

cheers
