Config.pro problem

Config.pro problem

Config.pro problem

(OP)
I'm new to Pro Engineer and am teaching myself using Wildfire2 Personal Edition.

I have created an assembly using different directories. I have written a search.pro file to locate the different directories. I have also changed the search_path_file in the config. pro to direct the search to my search.pro file.
In the config.pro dialogue box I have clicked on 'apply' and the 'save' icon.

This works ok and the assemblies regenerate when I open them. The problem is that I have to change the config.pro every time I open Pro Eng. i.e. it doesn't save the changes when I close down. In other words, it seems to be applying my changes but only for that session.

Obviously I am doing something wrong but what? How do I make my config.pro change permanent?

RE: Config.pro problem

You will need to look at where you are saving the config.pro file - by default it saves in the currecnt working directory.
If you open Pro/E & then change to your working directory, it will load up the config.pro in your startup directory & not the one in your main working directory.
Try saving the config.pro file to your startup directory & this should solve the problem.
