the equipments is in zone 2. But are they always safe when they've been in use for a long time ? Who knows standards for checking them if they are still used in zone 2?

Is this in the EU? Member countries operate some form of registration scheme for persons who have been suitably trained and have demonstrated competence. In the UK the scheme is known as COMPEX.
