Workbench Question

Workbench Question

Workbench Question

(OP)
Hi All,

I was just wondering if there is a way to keep more than one workbench on at the same time? That is, can I keep "part design" and "wirefreame and surfaces" both on so that I don't have to constantly flip back and forth?

RE: Workbench Question

As far as I know, NO (please correct me if I'm wrong)
To speed thigs up you could Customize your Start menu and define Favourites, if you haven't done so already.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input silverunner, I will look into your suggestion.

RE: Workbench Question

Hi,

you can bring WFS toolbars in PartDesign and vice versa if you want. You just have to find place, manage position for those toolbar.

But the customization of start menu is a very good way to switch workenches. Tools / Customize / Start Menu then add PartDesign and Wireframe and Surface.

Then right clic on the Workbench icon to go from one to another.

Hi silverunner and itsmyjob,

The start menu customization is a great little time saver and I have implemented it.

Itsmyjob, could you elaborate on how you incorporate WFS toolbars into part design? That sounds exactly what I'm looking for.

Again, thanks to both of you!

RE: Workbench Question

Go to Tools, Customize.  Search for the functions you want to add.  Drag the function to an existing toolbar (or better yet, create yourself a new one).

Catiajim,

Thanks for the tip. I am going to have to play with customization to determine exactly what I want in my new custom workbench. Once I figure it out though, I am sure it will be what I was originally looking to accomplish.

Again, thank you for the input.
