Membrane Impedance

Membrane Impedance

(OP)
hallo all,

I'm working with calculating the acoustic impedance of a rectangular/square membrane, i.e. Za = acoustic_pressure/volume_velocity. I have been searching the relevant equations, but so far unseccessfully. If you have the  formulae on hand or any book to be recommended, kindly give me a clue.

A lot of thanks in advance.

RE: Membrane Impedance

Hallo Greg Locock,

thanks a lot for your reply. It's a pity there is no the recommended book in my library.

Actually I'm looking for some formulae on membrane, which are expected to directly relate displacement and tension/stress. A reference equation for circular membrane is found in theory of electroacoustics by Josef Merhaut, but the expectant formulae for rectangular membrane is unfortunately not available in my references.

Thanks again.

Xianer
