CSV in RSLogix 5

CSV in RSLogix 5

(OP)
Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to export a .csv file from one RSLogix application and import it into another.  I have one with all of the descriptions in it and I want to transfer those discriptions to the new application without actually having to type them all in manually.

RE: CSV in RSLogix 5

Open the file that contains the database, clic save as and check the Save database as a external file box. Then, open the program you want to import database and clic tool --> database --> native import, clic ok. That should be what you are looking for. I don't think RSLgx-5 handles them in a .csv file like RSLgx-5k does.

RE: CSV in RSLogix 5

Tools--->Database--->Ascii export

then in new program do an ascii import, this will bring over all the tags and descriptions.
