A couple of annoyances
A couple of annoyances
(OP)
I wonder if there is any way to change these behaviors?
A) When sketching, or editing a sketch in a model, each time you change a dimension, the model zooms out. Then you have to window back in to change another dimension, and it zooms back out again. This is irritating.
B) I still don't understand the use of sketch planes and directions. I'll have the model zoomed in, and oriented to where I can see where I want to add a feature, and when entering the sketch command, it then zooms out, and changes view orientation. Ussually from the other side of the solid.
C) Is there a way to make it so that your view settings (axis, planes, etc.) are part file dependant. What I'm saying is that, if I choose to see them in a part I'm working on, if I switch to the main assembly, they won't be shown there also. Having the planes on my assembly makes it one big blob where you can't even see the model thru the planes and axis. Yet I need them on the actual part.
D) When using certain commands (the hole command comes to mind) Pro/E remembers some of your last inputs, yet doesn't remember all of them. IE, it remembers the diameter of the hole, but not that you used "thru all" or that you centered it on an axis on a surface...
I'm sure these explanations might take a minute to understand, but if you've been using Pro/E a while, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
I'm sure that some or all of these will probably be added to my next submitted enhancement request list.

You can use the copy-paste functionality for holes in WF2. Select the hole, copy it, and then pick on the new surface for its placement and press paste. It retains the hole information, but will ask you for new references (if it is to be placed on a new surface).
Good luck
