PART NUMBER and DESCRIPTION

PART NUMBER and DESCRIPTION

PART NUMBER and DESCRIPTION

(OP)
Hi all,
I am using catia v5r14, I have changed the settings to show the Part Number and the part description in the assembly tree instead of instance name (as the inastance name isnt very helpful), unfortunately on a lot of the parts / products it doesnt update the the tree until i highlight the part and check its properties, then it updates the tree (but just for the selected parts), i have about 2000 parts / products in this tree at various levels so doing "properties" for several at a time would be time consuming, does anybody know how to get this info for the entire tree at the same time?

RE: PART NUMBER and DESCRIPTION

I suspect that you have your CACHE turned ON.  When the Parts are loaded in Visualization Mode, the display in the tree is different than it is when they are in Design Mode.  When you edit the properties of the part, CATIA automatically loads it into design mode.  Look under the "Nodes Customization Product instance, Reference unloaded" area, as this is where that is controlled.
