double wall vessel

(OP)
Hello,
I have a question. Are there a minimum walls thickness limitation in double wall vessel in BSI regulation? I am a designer from Poland and I have to design a double wall vessel acc. to BSI. In Poland there is a limitation of thickness, 5mm for internal and 3mm for external shell. I dont know how it is in UK.
Thank you for any help and sorry for my English.
Regards
Andy

RE: double wall vessel

Hello Andy,

My name is Andy also and I am a designer from Louisiana,USA. My opinion is that the inner I.D. should satisfy the psi requirements and the outer should meet external/internal temperature stress for expansion requirements.Unless the inner is an alloy for chemical resistance, than the outer thickness should meet psi requirements.
