Trace Saga, Analogies

Trace Saga, Analogies

Trace Saga, Analogies

(OP)
Trace engineering was a producer power inverter technology that It was truly leading edge, ahead of it's time bullet proof stuff. But, somehow they sold out to the foreign mass production interest Xantech. Word on the street is that there is no new innovation. Basically fired the engineering and beefed up the marketing, sales and experts at producing the most expensive products at the lowest cost (and questionable quality). As I have a vested interest in the AE world. It looks as is if an innovative competitor (Outback-USA)has emerged and if kicking the butt off of the X co. Is there other analogies around, is there a trend, something to be learned?

RE: Trace Saga, Analogies

Not Xantrex? They're also a power electronics manufacturer. Just asking because the names are so similar.

Yes Xantrex sorry, I just have the feeling that they have been  hunted, caught, held in captivity, and are slowly being milked to death.
