Parametric Modeling in SolidWorks

Parametric Modeling in SolidWorks

I would like to know if anyone has parametric modeling for square/recatngular shaped areas (e.g. Compartments) free for downloading? I do not have a lot of time to set up a bunch of different models and I need something that can help with setting up compartments within a Fire Truck.

RE: Parametric Modeling in SolidWorks

That sounds like a 10 minute task... not hardly worth posting for download. Just a box... with a design table driving 3 dimensions... creating a few hundred sizes/configurations? Is that what you want? What color? There must be more to it than this...

A little more information on the specs of the compartments may help.

If nobody has one, just create one compartment then use a Design Table to create the others.

cheers

Well, I wish it was just a box with three dimesnions. That is a base to start with, but it will have to include hinge dimesions, color patterns and all the parts must have a sheetmetal designation to it.

RE: Parametric Modeling in SolidWorks

It sounds like you're the only one who really knows what you need for your application so how could somebody else provide an appropriate model for you unless you got lucky and found somebody else who does truck bodies?

It still sounds like a classic DT task, though, perhaps with some assy configurations to include various parts.
