Shared Toolbox Setup

Shared Toolbox Setup

Shared Toolbox Setup

(OP)
We have our toolbox setup to be shared across the network. The reason we did this is we have custom properties that we need to add for each fastner that we use.

Our problem is the configurations seem to be getting deleted somehow and we can not figure out why.

All the files are set to read only, everyone is opening the assemblies with external reference at read-only and collaboration is turned on.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so do you have a solution to the problem?

thanks,

Dale

RE: Shared Toolbox Setup

It sounds like there is either a problem during installation, or the files are not "read only" status.

RE: Shared Toolbox Setup

It has to be the installation because I have double and tripled checked the "read only" status. Although we did have someone about 2 weeks ago change a single file to R/W status. Do not know how long it was in this state but as soon as we started having access problems I found it and changed it back.

How do you check the version and SP of the toolbox package?
